Patience

Patience
Big change, especially changes on the inside, that can’t be seen, that evolve when you step away from who you have been to who you are becoming, are the ultimate challenge of patience. Still, all that is being asked is to decide who you want to be, and then start moving toward that version of yourself, and not worry about the outcome or the’ how’. For those of us who have the need to know, need to have a plan, need safety, and all the guarantees, this is a big shift, offloading patterns, systems and conditioning that no longer serves. And it’s ok that this type of change asks you to stop, reflect and take stock, give yourself grace.

Reflection: “What am I actually feeling right now that I have not let myself feel today?”
While I re-read my own reflections from as recently as June 2026, I see for the first time the level of emotion I had tied up inside, unexpressed, and a bit seething too – it feels confronting to read the rawness and the pain. For me, true growth comes as the released emotions are transmuted into words that heal and paintings that connect.

I release all that I’ve held onto, I am grateful for my younger selves, for doing the best they could to feel safe and brave. I dance and laugh and honour each moment as I release the emotions living as aches in my body. I am a strong, capable human, I am feeling and experiencing emotions without filter, I give myself grace to be authentically me as my higher purpose is revealed to me. I feel what I feel and it’s ok to feel what I feel. I am grateful for this life review and to be given a window of purposeful time to reflect and to know. I surrender to feelings of uncertainty. I accept that I can only control how I respond, I am here to be good, to do good, and to put myself and my happiness first, fill my own cup then as gratitude flows abundantly, so can I be a well spring, an inspiration, a lighthouse. I am enough.
